The professorial staff, together with their students at the Orthodox Institute “St. Cyril and Methodius”, on June 8th, had their general meeting for this semester and on that occasion, as well as for the patron celebration day of this Institute, they gathered for a joint solemn Liturgy in the “Assumption of the Blessed Mother of God” church, in Dandenong, Melbourne under the jurisdiction of the RZPC.
The Divine Liturgy was served by professors archpriest-stavrofor mitronosec, Fr. Nikolay Karipov from RAOC, archpriest Petar Hill from RAOC, who is also Dean of the Institute and Fr. Nemanja Mrgjenović from SOC and Fr. Gavril Galev, Abbot of the monastery “St. Kliment Ohridski” in Kinglake, at MOC-OA, who is the first graduate student of this Orthodox Institute.
The Orthodox Institute “St. Cyril and Methodius” is a higher education institute of the Australian-New Zealand Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church outside Russia. The institute is open to higher Orthodox education and students of all ages and from all Orthodox jurisdictions study there.
The institute is open for studies to all Orthodox Christians, educates and prepares staff for future clergy and missionaries as well as equips the current clergy to know, apply and preach the Orthodox faith in today’s world.
