To the joy of the entire church community in Wollongong – Sydney, today, on Meatfare Sunday of the Fearsome Judgment of Christ, when our Holy Orthodox Church commemorates the feast of the Holy Hieromartyr Charalampus, the newly appointed parish priest, Fr. Borislav Lazov, who recently arrived in Australia, served his first Liturgy at the church of “St. Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessaloniki” in Wollongong.
The previous parish priest, Fr. Tome Mladenovski, introduced the newly arrived parish priest to the faithful, after which Fr. Borislav also addressed the congregation.
On behalf of all church communities within the Australian-Sydney Orthodox Diocese, we extend our best wishes to the newly arrived priest, Fr. Borislav, for a successful missionary ministry in Wollongong.
